October 10, 2025 SUSSED Store

FANFARE FOR THE FUNFAIR

Hi-Tide, Thursday 6th November 2025 from 7.30pm

Charity Sustainable Wales Cymru Gynaliadwy is organizing a celebration and farewell for Porthcawl funfair.

In the Hi Tide, 7.30pm, NOVEMBER 6, there will be film, spoken word, open mic, music, photography, video and special guests, including the Mayor of Porthcawl.

This is a free event for the public, but donations to the charity are more than welcome.

On sale will be ‘Fairground Music’, a glorious full colour tribute to the fair, from photographer Eamon Bourke and writer, Robert Minhinnick. Published by Gomer Press.

All proceeds from the book go to SUSSED in James St, Porthcawl where it is already on sale.

There will also be a screening of Eamon and Lucy Bourke’s ‘Coney Beach’ film, that features many familiar fairground workers.

& much more...

Let’s make it a fond FFARWEL!
